FREE CITY IS ACCEPTED INTO REICH BY HITLER: 

(By the Associated Press)  Berlin, Friday, Sept. 1 — Adolf Hitler today accepted the Free City of Danzig into the Reich.

The Führer acted after Albert Förster, Nazi Chief of State of the Free City and Nazi district leader there, had proclaimed the reunion of the Baltic city with Hitler’s Ger many, and begged the Fuhrer to accept it.

Thanks Him For Loyalty
In a telegram to Forster, Hitler acknowledged the reception of Forster’s proclamation and

Thanks him for “the loyalty of Danzig to Germans.”

He declared a newly proclaimed law by Förster for the reunion of Danzig to Germany ‘immediately effective” and named Förster, already chosen by the Danzig Senate as Chief of State, to head the city government.

Förater notified Adolf Hitler, Führer of Germany, of his action by telegram.

Article 1 of Forster’s decree suspended the constitution of the Free City immediately.

(Editors Note — Under the city’s League of Nation, status is constitution was guaranteed by the Low and change. what its consent were declared illegal.
