6.3 MAIL WITHIN THE FREE CITY
Officially, mail within the Free City could be sent only through the Free City Post. Even for its own local mail the Polish Post had to use the Free City Post. Only in cases where mail was sent poste restante through the Free City Post to the Polish Post Office local mail was handled by the Polish Post.

For the poste restante service the Polish Post in Gdańsk raised 10 groszy postage due with a Polish stamp. ZOPPOT (FREIE STADT DANZIG) cds 13.5.35 and POLSKI URZĄD P.-T. GDAŃSK 1 s arrival cds 14.5.35.
