Danzig - Gdansk; Overprints, Essays, Proofs and Un-issued Values.

August 20. 1920. Parts of the issue of the Deutsches Reich were overprinted with 'Danzig' in slanted script and a bar covering the words 'Deutsches Reich', by Julius Sauer, Danzig. This is the so calles 'Schrägedrucke' issue. The 5, 15 and 20 Pf. values were overprinted in dark violet-ultramarine and the 25 and 75 Pf. values were overprinted in dark rose-red.
- 5 Pfennig, dark gray-green. ----- 15 Pfennig, blackish gray-violet. ----- 15 Pfennig, black-brown-violet. ----- 20 Pfennig, dark violet-blue. ----- 25 Pfennig, red orange/black. ----- greenish-blue/black.

August 30. 1920. Additiional values were overprinted. The 2, 2 1/2, 3, 7 1/2 and 10 Pf. values were overprinted in dark violet-ultramarine and the 30, 40, 50 and 80 Pfennig values were overprinted in dark rose-red.
