Capitulation - September 7, 1939.

At right, 3 of the crains used, until September 1st, for munition handling.
"A" shed is seen at lower-left. Below, troops move into that area afer the shelling ceases.

Polish Commander, Major Henryk Sucharski is deep in thought after the capitulation,
while the left photo shows General Friedrich Eberhardt saluting the Major.
In acknowladgement of the bravery of the men of Westerplatte, Major Sucharski
was permitted to carry his sword.
