The three 1936 Hrosen stamps were designed by Iiuchholz and printed at the Postdruckerel Danzig. We will need to look mb the location of this plant, since it is different from the Julius Sauer Dnickerei.

The cover at the right was mailed horn Br(scn on the last day of the special canc el, which was vcalid 1mm 23.6.36-30.9.36. Diameter of circle is 29.5 mm.

Compare the scene on the 25 pf. stamp with the photo below, taken in Aug., 1999, Brôsen’s piers and bath house have disappeared, hut the beach is still in operation. The lighthouse is on a spit across the river from Westerplatte.
