speed of 80 km/per hour. On board were 68 persons, crew included. Yes, ten days after the flight to Hungary, the Graf Zeppelin took off on its Egypt-flight. It was originally planned to drop mail in Jerusalem, but such a request was vetoed by the British Postal Administration in Palestine which had experienced trouble in 1929, when hundreds of philatelists complained about their missing mail.
Figure 7 shows the Alexandria arrival postmark of the first flight. The second flight to the Holy land (Agyptenfahrt) on April 9th-13th 1931, was later and not included in this Ruberg article. —Ed.
