(Field 75) All of the examples on this page are of ie1d 75, showing various stages of deterioration as the plate wore. Some of the letters become completely indistinct after a period of time. The vertical strips at the lower right are iields 75/85/95 from Karl’s collection. Of great interest is the failure of the vertical columns of overprints to line up with each other, clearly shown here. All three of these examples are out of alignment.
