Folded official document printed on newsprint—like paper, with return address to the Sovereign District Court in Danzig from the contract station of Schidlitz, a couple miles west of the city. Note the 15.11.75 cancel on the inside of the document (overleaf) and the 16.11.75 two-circle cancel on the front. Postage due of 20 pf was indicated by the blue crayon. The copy of the inside is slightly reduced to have it fit on the page. Overall size of the original is 8* x 13-3/8 inches. Can anyone translate the purpose of the document? We gave up after consulting 3 dictionaries.

For those who have the Arge’s Part II, 1793-1955 postmark catalog, check Pg. 26 and note that there is no 1875 listing for Type 22, as shown at the top of the document. The 24.5 mm outside diameter is OK, but we measure 14.5 in our example instead of the 15.5 that is listed in the book.
