Thanks to all who have published information; it is greatly apprec iated. If you wish to reach the Editor by telephone, the office number is (301)265—5454 and the home number is (301)944—1408.

Since this issue will feature the “back-of-the-book” Dienstmarken, it will present an opportunity to show a cover with mixed franking to Breslau. The stamps are #74 (10 Pfg.), 2 x #D22 (3 Mk.), #60x (40 Pfg.), #D11 (1 Mk.) and #80 (50 Pfg.) for a total of 6 Marks, which is the correct rate to Germany from 1.10.22 thru 14.11.22. Since the rate doubled to 12 Marks on 15.11.22, this cover was mailed on the last of the 45 days of validity. The 1 Mk. and the 1.50 P.1k. officials were tolerated for priv ate usage. Perhaps only two other examples of the 1.50 stamp as used here are known, but that remains to be seen. Validity is 29.7 to 30.9.22.
