Additional examples of hand-painted essays, all with points-down underprinting. They are from Bud Hennig’s collection and were enlarged during the shakedown of his new CCTV camera and printer. The letering and biplane in C and D are in red and black, respectively. The 3 MARK 3 design is also in red, with a propeller and wing drawing in Illustration E. The winged motif was further developed and the propeller dropped in favor of the post horn, as seen in the Illustrations F, G and H in the bottom line. Notice the similarity to the final design of No. 52 and its winged post horn.
