Italy to Switzerland to Danzig
This card was written on 22.7.24 to someone at a hotel in Bellagio, Italy. Since the person left the hotel before the card caught up with him, a postage due stamp worth 30 cents was affixed and the card was sent to Belgium. Again, it was too late to catch the addressee, so it went to Switzerland with a second postage due (15 cents) being attached. Always one step ahead of the authorities, the intended recipient was rurnoured to be headin9 for Danzig. Two subsequent attempts at delivery resulted in a 25-Pfennig charge on 4.8.24.12—1V and a second 25—Pfennig charge and Langfuhr cancel apears on 4.8.24.3—4N. Do you think that he ever received the card?
