Above is one example of the reason for the necessity to be careful in the purchase of these covers. It was supposedly posted on 5 June 1921, which would place it within the dates of the Poznan Fair. The stamps are genuine. If posted in Danzig, there would be no winged P.K.P. winged cachet. However, what gives this cover away are the discrepancies in the date stamps. (See next page.] The top two cancels read S.6.2l.8-9N; the bottom two read 5.6.21.8-9v. That’s not a good sign, is it?

On the opposite page are more examples of the labels.

1. Block of four of the 25-Mark post card label, showing the T.A.B.R.O.M.I.K. slogan printed between the perfs.

2. Another block of four of the 100-Mark reprint, showing the closed triangle between sharply defined envelopes. On the genuine labels, the falling covers are faintly sketched. (Note that the covers on Page 15 have labels with hand—written echt (genuine) next to them.
