Two Additional Views of T.A.B.R.O.M.I.K

The date of 29 May 1921 saw the starting operation of the twice—daily air route connection between the above locations. The final flight originated on 16 June 1921, which was the last fair day. Even though additional air routes were intended, connections were not obtained because of various problems.

Carries totaled three hundred passengers and 3,000 kg mail and packages in 58 flights. The exact amount of forwarded mail and the resulting quantities of air mail stamps makes the statistics inaccurate. The manufacture of the air mail stamps in sheets to 56 pieces took place in the lithographic shop of a gentleman named Pilozak in Posen. It consisted of two different values for distribution: 25 and 100 Marks. Both values utilized a line perf 11—1/2. The draft for the Aerotarg Marks originated with Wilhelm Rudy, a member of this airline. The initials of the designer are at the bottom left, above the A of the word AEROTARG.

A further description of the two values:
25 M(ark) black-blue / dark orange; thick yellowish-gray paper; yellowish gum.
100 M(ark) black / blue; thick grayish paper; yellowish gum.

The Post offices Warsaw 1 - Counter Nr. 17 - and Poznan — Counters 1, 3, and 9, sold the stamps. The cancellation of the company indicating Lodz and Krakow never came about, however. The cancel colors in green, red, violet and gray— black are forged and are found only in reprints and forgeries. Faulty printing and accidents in the printing process provide constant recurrent errors in the printed sheet’s registers.
