It is likely that in later years, mail arriving from Poland was sorted in the post office, too, in spite of the agreement of 16 April 1923. Neither in the original orders for the Polish post in Danzig, nor in the orders from the Polish Ministry of Post can anything be found about this. There is, however, mail indicating the sorting at the post office: on several letters and cards from Poland, a postage due was raised for missing stamps by the Polish post office at the railway station. Through the years, an average of 15 employees were working in the office. Leaders of the post office were Ignacy Sikorski, Franciszek Delewski, Kazimierz Szczyglowski, Antoni Niemir, Alfons Flisykowski and Josef Piechowski.21 [Figure 10 on next page]
