MORE GOOD STUFF!
As you can see, this is a special issue, crammed with some great stuff. Bill Ruh has done it again with his review of the Aus dem Brielkasten handstamp on cover. Still to come is his study of postage due mail from (and to) Danzig.
As a helpful tool, we’ve printed 11 pages of Richard Minard’s list of Danzig Varieties. Take a copy ot these to the next bourse to aid in finding the exact variety that you have been seeking. It’s quite a work, it’s greatly appreciated by us all, and there is more to come!
You may not have heard, but several members have been hard at work translating the late Kazimierz Morawski’ s fine book, Postmarks and Seals of the Polish Post Offices in the Free City of Gdansk, 1920-1 939. This should be a real blockbuster when publ ished and also be of use to many of our members. Keep in mind, also, the Schrägdrucke issue coming in DR-100, next summer. (As well as the HP-i Gcznzsachen, Forerunners, etc.) Giles has updated his Michel pricing review, and we’ve seen some unbelievable forgeries! All to come in future Reports!
