6.1.1 DOMESTIC MAIL — THE USE OF POSTAL STATIONERY
The use of Polish postcards without overprint was allowed as well. Sometimes these postcards were even sold at the Post Office when postcards with overprint were not available.
Above: Po ish postcard sent from Gdańsk to Warszawa with the commemorative datestamp for the General Congress of Polish Choral Singers held in Gdańsk. This datestamp was used in Gdańsk only on 4, 5 and 6 June 1938.
Below: Registered Polish postcard sent from Gdańsk to Lubliniec. POLSKI URZĄD P.-T. GDAŃSK 1 i cds 17.8.39 and GDAŃSK 1 i boxed registration handstamp. LUBLINIEC g arrival cds 19.8.39. 15 groszy for the postcard, 25 for registration. This postcard could be used only 1 month.
