6.1.1 DOMESTIC MAIL - THE USE OF CASH PAYMENT MARKS
Another method available for organisations sending large volumes of mail, was a system of payment by cash, by special agreement with the Post Ministry, without using meters or postage stamps. Mail was endorsed with a cash payment mark, either handstamped, printed or added manually, which also indicated the number of the special agreement. The Macierz Szkolna, the Union of Polish Schools, was the only organisation in Gdańsk that aquired such permission.
