Dr Werner Bohne developed the catalogue on these three types of fraudulentt overprints for Danzig Mi. No. 2 Note that the letters are much thicker than on the genuine overprints and that other lines vary in thickness, He calls attention also to the space between the two vertical strokes of the “N”, whereas the downstrokes almost touch with the forgeries. Below is a rendering of the very large Julius Sauer plant in the southern part of Danzig, where stamps and overprints were made
