Shown above is the brick red variety with an interrupted serrate pattern on the left side only. The right side is normally spaced. As the enlarged diagram shows at the left, the first four upper perfs are normal, but the lower ones are shifted down by 50%. A dwarf perf appears between the wider spaced ones. As seen in the full scale photo at the top, the perfs get synchronized again at six points from the bottom and continue on as if nothing has happened.
Another, even stranger, phenomenon of this issue, arid which empirical reasoning states is an absolute impossibility:
(1) In every case in which a notch appears in the red oval adjacent to the left lion’s paw, the watermark is horizontal.
(2) In every case in which the red oval contains no notch, the watermark is horizontal.
Everyone agrees that this is impossible, but it will take a larger sampling than we are capable of making to determine the final outcome of these findings. Help:
