(Field 70) Two studies of Field 70 with its characteristic blunted “4” and separated chip on the “0”. Further identification shows disintegration of the “e” and the unique “u”. When in doubt in identifying these overprints, check the horizontal bars. Note that the upper left bar is flattened on a 30° angle, and the two bars are beginning to separate by a vertical fissure.
Fields This was designated Field 70, but it doesn”t pass the test described above. Any clues?
(Field 80)Beginning of the breakup of the “0” and the “n”. The slanted stroke of the “4” also shows sign of stress.
