Since the Polish map at the left was drawn in 1520, it doesn’t include the Golden Gate, which wasn’t built until 1612. The late 19th century Hellingrath engraving shows the entry to the Stockturm capped with a horizontal lintel, not a Gothic arch seen today and on other views. Statues now stand on the four pilasters, at the top of the gate.
