6.1.1 DOMESTIC MAIL — POSTAGE PAID IN CASH

Above: Insured letter with its contents valued at 105 złoty sent to Biała Podlaska. POLSKI URZĄD P-T GDAŃSK 1 s cds 11.11.31 on the front and a BIAŁA PODLASKA arrival cds 12.11.31 on the reverse. The number of the sending was written on the left, 31 gram weight in the middle, and the 90 groszy postage on the right in the places provided. 50 groszy for a letter between 20 and 50 gram, 30 groszy for registration and 10 groszy being the minimum insurance fee for a value up to 300 złoty. The postage and insurance had to be paid in cash.
Below: Insured letter with a value of 2000 złoty sent from Gdańsk to Nowe Miasto. POLSKI URZĄD P.-T. GDAŃSK 1 k cds 13.2.37 and a purple handstamp indicating the number of the sending, the weight of 31,5 gram and 1 złoty and 15 groszy postage, which was to be paid in cash. NOWE MIASTO N/NOTĘCA d arrival cds 17.2.37. 50 groszy for a letter between 20 and 50 gram, 30 groszy for registration and 35 groszy insurance fee for a value of 2000 złoty (7 times 5 groszy per 300 złoty).
