Danzig and its Postal History - Singular line handstamp
In 1826 a circular, single handstamp was introduced - Danzig at the top; the day and month, often separated by a horizontal line, in the center.
May 4. 1927, rated 29 centimes Paris to Bordeaux.
Note different style of 'CPR5' now in red ink.
October 24. 1828, incorrectly rated, changed from 29 to 34 centimes.
Different French entry mark 'Prusse par Givet' in red ink.
