Danzig and its Postal History, A two-line cancel reading Danzig above and the date and time below enclosed in a rectangular frame was introduced in 1849.
Paketbegleitsbrief, package stickers now being used.
Packet was sent on August 1. and arrived in Köningsberg (nowadays Kaliningrad Russia) on the next day and was sent back (retour) that same day, on August 2. 1864.
Note 'Auslagen.' cancel as well 'Königsberg PR. Pakkammer' August 2. cancel in red ink.
