The Trials and Tribulations of Germany's and Danzig's Commercial Aviation
after Treaty of the First World War.

The above card illustrates the new airmail stamps and the new registration label used on the flight from Berlin to Leipzig. Visitors took advantage of the air transportation service to Leipzig during the Fair. DLR offered the service from 28 February to 7 March, 1920. The card lampoons the ongoing transport strikes which were a normal feature of life in Berlin at this time Operating a major airline. The cost of operating a major airline became overwhelming when inflation entered into the equation in 1921.
