Del Meinung has answered our SOS for inflation rates for Danzig Air Mail. This Infla-Berlin list is the first that we have seen on Danzig air rates, but it’s limited to the following dates: 1.4.1921, 15.6.1923, 1.8.1923, 31.8.1923. Obviously, we could use information to fill in the new air issues of 3.5.1921, 15.5.1922, 3.1.1923, 10.1.1923, Feb/Mar 1923 and 18.10.1923. If you have a more complete of air rates, please send a copy to the Ed. or bring it t the meeting. This area has much potential for deeper study.

We are planning an Infla-Danzig issue and ask your help. . . .   Send interesting Infla info, either charts or articles (in English) for this compilation. Perhaps we can develop a definitive chart in spite of the daily (and even hourly) inflation rate changes that occurred in October of 1923. The Inflation Study group, under Del Meinung’s direction, has invited us to their meeting on Friday at 4 PM.

Still no answers to the two riddles in our last issue. Danzig OPD. Take another look and tell us WAS IST?

Our feature article in another of John Whiteside’s fine studies on early Danzig postmarks. This work covers the 1850-1867 era, and we are again grateful to John for his effort in behalf of the Study Group. lncidentally , the initials (q.v.) mean “quod vide”. literally “which see”, and show that the alternate name is listed above or below
