Amazing longevity is apparent in the 9—10 canceller: it retained a constant 145°/85° thru 8.11.51. Even the change in the numerals 9—10 in 27.11.54 thru 25.7.59 didn’t afect the DANZIG angles, but there is a subtle change in the shape of the letters.

Document from December of 1858 to Berlin, with postman’s identification stamp on front. Who can identify the rectangular and octagaonal framed hand stamps at the top of the form? They resemble the Herkunftsstempel (postmark of place of origin) as shown under “Hamburg” in the Michel Specialized catalog.
