- Old-age insurance (Free State).

I am assuming that the abbreviations “INV. VERS.” on these little stamps stand for Invaliden—versicherung.They are not catalogued by ERLER-NORTON.

A      Pale sage-green. “320 Mark” and “13” as well as “Freie Stadt Danzig” incorporated in the design (but not “INV. VERS.”). Danzig arms design similar to inflation period postage stamps. W Tiling,P Zigzag roulette. Cancelled in violet “24.6.23’.

B      Pale orange. Scarlet overprint 110p” and intaglio in ornamental panel (presumably obliterating the old value in Marks) with new value of “i20p’ overprinted again in black. “INV.VERS.DANZIG” also overprinted in scarlet at the foot of the stamp. Slightly different Danzig arms design from the above. W Small webbing horizontal.P Zigzag roulette. Cancelled in violet “20.6.25’.

       Grey-green. Black overprint “250” and intaglio VII” in ornamental panel. INV.VERS.DANZIG” also overprinted in black. Similar Danzig arms design to that in serial B above. No W,P 12 x 13. Cancelled in violet “8.4.28”.

D        Yellow-orange. Black overprint ‘188’ and intaglio “V” in ornamental panel. “INV.VES.DANZIG” also overprinted in black. Similar Danzig arms design to that in serial B above. No W,P 12 x 13. Manuscript cancellation “26.6.1932”.

E         Rose-lilac. Black overprint "226" and intaglio "VI" in ornamental panel. "INV. VERS. DANZIG" also overprinted in black. Similar Danzig arms design to that in serial B above. No W,P 12 x13. Manuscript cancellation "14.6.1937".
