In November 1920. the post started to use special labels with the text Z AMERYKI PRZEZ U.E.P. GDAŃSK NOWY PORT (From America through forwarding Post Office Gdańsk Nowy Port). Three different series of labels were used: labels with the code letter a were used from November 1920, labels with the code letter c were used from December 1920 and labels without code letter from March 1921. Labels with the code letter b have not been found until now.
Above: Card for a 4 kg parcel sent to Zakopane with the Gdańsk Nowy Port a label. 6 marks duty and 6 marks for the Customs handling due. Single-line WOLNO OD CŁA and TARNÓW 2 2a cds 22.12.20 of the Tarnów Customs Office and TARNÓW 3b 23.12.20 transit cds, ZAKOPANE 1b arrival cds 23.12.20 on the reverse.
Below: Card for a 4½ kg parcel sent to Strzemieszyce with the Gdańsk Nowy Port c label. 6 marks harbour duty and 12 marks for the Customs handling due. STRZEMIESZYCE cds 17.12.20, the day the card was sent to the addressee and STRZEMIESZYCE cds 19.12.20, the day the parcel was collected on the reverse.
