Labels without a code letter were used from March 1921. In December 1920. in the Poznań Customs Post Office an old German parcel label Posen W. 3 was attached on which Z AMERYKI was written by hand. The handstamp Z AMERYKI... indicates that the card was prepared in the Gdańsk Post Office. The reason for using the Poznań label is not elear. in Gdańsk, labels were being used already from November.

Above: Card for a 4½ kg parcel sent to Grybów with the Gdańsk Nowy Port label without a code letter. 15 marks harbour duty and 6 marks for the Customs handling due. TARNÓW 2 2a cds 27.4.21 and single-line WOLNO OD CŁA from the Customs Post Office, GRYSÓW a cds 27.4.21, the day the card was sent to the addressee. Sixteen stamps of 100 heller and one stamp of 500 heller cancelled GRYBÓW a 29.4.21 on the day the parcel was collected, on the reverse.
