The Way it Looks From Here:
Improvements are still being made to some buildings in Gdansk, from damage caused in 1945 almost 60 years ago! Worth seeing is the new glass ceiling recently installed at Post 0ffice No. 5 on what once was the Langgasse and Danzig 1.

The oldest Polish post office in the city is still standing (reconstructed) about two blocks to the east from the photo on page 1. It stands on the left side (north) of the Ianger Markt, and it is normally overlooked by visitors to this historic district. Hans Vogels’ translation will give us some perspective on this important establishment.

We put in a call to the stamp collectors of Gdansk and anyone else who could find a cover that was sent from Stolzenberg (Chelm) in the early days of Prussian/Danzig mail service. Evidentally, such items are very scarce. Denmark’s Curt Hosny did come up with such a rarity, and it is included in this study of Stolzenberg and its pal, good old Freddy the Great Always something new to learn, right?
