In use and likewise in red, the following line-cancels were:
Friedrichshafen (Bodensee) - Tokyo
Friedrichshafen (Bodensee) - Los Angeles
Friedrichshafen (Bodensee) - Lakehurst
Friedrichshafen (Bodensee) - Friedrichshafen (Bodensee)
These one-line cancels were applied on mail depend±ng upon the delivery regulations. The arrival cancellations of the destination cities are not yet known to the editor of the catalog at the time of publication.
After the Around the World flight, the Graf Zeppelin undertook only a few minor trips to Switzerland and to western Germany. As far as mail transportation is concerned, Danzig mail did not participate in these trips. In the beginning of October, 1929, the following decree appeared in the official gazette of PTV #29:
No. 213 - MAIL TRANSPORTATION WITH THE AIRSHIP “GRAF ZEPPELIN”
As far as no special arrangements are given, regular letters and postcards at the post offices in the Free City of Danzig can be mailed for the future undertaking of long-distance flights of the airship “Graf Zeppelin” under the following conditions:
1) Shipments are admitted to any destination.
2) The weight of letters shall not exceed 20 grams.
3) The fee for a postal card Is: 80 Pfg.
