done in John Paul II Avenue in Zaspa, Gdansk, 11w grave was found. After exhaustive research, the location was confirmed by remains of uniforms, shoulder straps with black fabric, with visible post emblems, brass buttons, etc. Identical emblems were worn, according to the Post and Telegraph. Ministry, by workers since the 12th of February, 1935. The above-mentioned remains were also identif ied by Stanislaw Tysarczyk, a former worker in the post office. A gold wedding ring, with engraved initials “PV” and the date 4.4.26 turned out to be important in the identification of Franciszek Klinkosz, who was married to Prakseda Vogel on that date in 1926. Further analysis confirmed that thirty-eight men were buried in the grave. After 53 years, the Polish Post Office defenders’ funeral service was performed with true dignity and placed under the commemorative monument in the Zaspa cemetery.
